Background:
 Professor Olu Ola Ogunsote (fnia) graduated with distinction from Prospect High School, Ibadan; with distinction from the University of Lodz, Lodz, Poland and with distinction in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Cracow University of Technology, Cracow, Poland in 1984. He got his PhD Architecture (1990) and his MBA (1995) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also obtained his Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering Option) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2015. He has been a full Professor in the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology, Akure since 2003. Professor Ogunsote has over a hundred publications and was the Editor of the AARCHES Journal. He is a leading expert in Building Climatology and Computer Applications in Architecture. He has contributed to the training of over two thousand students to Master’s level, having taught and supervised more than fifty different theory and studio courses in five federal universities and in one state-owned university. He has also supervised several PhDs in Architecture. He has designed and supervised the construction of several university buildings. He was a member of the NIA Council, Chairman of the NIA ICT and Archibuilt Seminar Committees, Vice Chairman of the NIA Ondo State Chapter, member of the NIA Publications Committee and coordinator of the Architects Colloquium Committee of ARCON. He was a board member of AARCHES and has served on ARCON programme accreditation teams. He is an external examiner and assessor to several federal, state and private universities. He has been a resource person to the NUC for 20 years and has chaired accreditation teams to over a dozen universities and was a member of several others. He is a member of the national NEEDS Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) and has served as member of monitoring teams to several universities.
